Account Deletion
You can permanently delete your Nephi Plates account at any time, directly from within the app — no need to contact support.
How to request account deletion
- Open Nephi Plates and sign in, if you aren't already.
- Go to Account → Delete Account.
- Confirm when prompted.
That's it — deletion is processed immediately when you confirm. There's no waiting period and no separate email confirmation step required.
What happens to your account
Your account is deleted server-side, after verifying it's really you making the request. Every table tied to your account cascades from that one deletion — nothing is soft-deleted, deactivated, or anonymized and left in place.
What data is deleted
Deleting your account removes, immediately and permanently:
- Your profile (display name and account identifier)
- Saved and favorited verses, reading position, and read-verse history
- Your daily check-in streak and Faith stats
- Your personalization settings
- Reading-plan enrollment and progress
- Prayer requests you've posted, and your record of praying for others
- Notes you've left on prayer requests
- Comments and personal notes you've left on verses
What may be retained
Standard database backups may retain deleted information for a limited time as part of our infrastructure provider's normal backup rotation, separate from your account, which is itself deleted immediately and is no longer accessible or usable once you confirm deletion.
If you can't access the app
If you no longer have the app installed or can't sign in, email support@nephiplates.com from the address associated with your account (or include enough detail to identify your account, such as your display name and sign-in method) and we'll process the deletion for you.
Requesting deletion of your data
Nephi Plates doesn't have a separate “delete my data but keep my account” option, because deleting your account (above) already removes every row tied to it — there's nothing left to separately request. If you only want to remove one specific thing — a single prayer request, note, or verse comment — without deleting your whole account, you can edit or delete those individually from within the app.
If you were never signed in, your data lives only in local storage on your device — see our Privacy Policy — and is removed by uninstalling the app.
